Boodles Players at the Olympics
We have been enjoying watching the Olympics recently. We are rooting for Team GB of course but it is also nice to see past Boodles players doing well in the tennis.
We hope you have all been keeping track of the Olympics and Team GB's medal haul so far. One of our favourite parts has been keeping track of past Boodles players in their quest for Olympic gold in the tennis.
Four past Boodles players had the proud responsibility of being flagbearers for their home countries at the beginning of the games: Novak Djokovic for Serbia, Maria Sharapova for Russia, Stan Wawrinka for Switzerland and Marcos Baghdatis for Cyprus.
We have now reached the semi-finals of the men's tennis and three of the four players in action today have played at the Boodles. British No. 1 Andy Murray, World No. 2 Novak Djokovic and former U.S. Open winner Juan Martin Del Potro all visited Stoke Park to play in the Boodles this year. We hope that practice will see them in good stead today and wish them all (and Roger Federer) the best of luck.
