Responsible to: Director of Golf and Golf Secretary
Hours of Work: 24 hours per week (assist with occasional weekend events during May -September)
Overall Purpose: To provide administrative and office support to the Golf department.
Specific Duties:

Liaise with the Golf Secretary on a daily basis regarding the current weeks and forthcoming events.

Assist with general day to day admin; covering emails and calls.

Be a point of contact for golf members in the absence of the Golf Secretary.

Assist with the organisation of golf competitions and golf social events.
-
Liaise with the Club Captains and Committee on a regular basis.
-
Attend Daily Dash Meetings.

Attend weekly Function Sheet Meeting.
-
Liaise with Match Captains to get teams together.
-
Put together function sheets for golf events liaising with relevant departments within the club.
-
Preparation of menu cards, table plans etc.
-
Take bookings and levy deductions for club events.

Assist in preparing score cards for golf competitions and the processing of competition scores.

Handicapping queries.
-
Send regular communications (e-shots) to members via Intelligent Golf.

Mail Shots.
-
Maintain Reciprocal Club’s and letters of introduction for members.
-
Junior Camps and administration, follow ups.
-
Golf Academy: telephone confirmation and/or email confirmation for Golf Bookings/Lessons.

Liaise and assist Estate Director with processing invoices, holiday and sickness records and general correspondence (5 hours approx).

Assist on key event dates (some weekend days between May – Sept).

Other ad-hoc duties as required.
Essential:

Golfing background or golf knowledge.

Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel.

Excellent communication skills.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative.

Ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:

Knowledge of Handicap Software
