An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sommelier to join the award winning Humphry’s, our 3 Rosette Fine Dining Restaurant.
As the Sommelier for Humphry’s Restaurant, you will be responsible for the seamless running of the restaurant by providing excellent and highly efficient service of wine. You will be in charge of the stock control of all the wines and champagne served in the Restaurant. You must be able to maximise wine and beverage sales through personalised guest service. You will work closely with the Head of Purchasing and Food and Beverage Manager in the development of the wine list. The continuous and regular training of all staff members to ensure that wine service is consistent is a key requirement. You must ensure that the necessary beverage service laws are adhered to at all times.

Previous experience in a 3+ Rosette or Michelin Star environment
Sound knowledge of food and wine
Impeccable personal appearance
Strong interpersonal skills, an articulate and confident communicator
Experience with Front of House EPOS systems
Exercises excellent ability of self management and is proactive in all situations
Handles pressure calmly and professionally
Possesses the ability to up-sell products through knowledgeable recommendations and personalised service
Thrives on working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
