Junior Golf Information
Junior Coaching
Stoke Park realise that Junior Golfers really are the future of the game and to promote this, we are proud to offer a wide range of coaching programmes throughout the year.
The popular Young Masters Golf (YMG) scheme provides a structured and progressive schedule for children aged 6 to 14, covering all aspects of the game from technique to rules and etiquette, and are coached by PGA Professionals. Classes are divided into age and ability groups running through term-time in eight week sessions, three times a year.
Alongside this are Easter, Summer and Half-Term camps, where golf joins forces with tennis. These combined camps offer a great learning environment where two sports can be enjoyed in one day. Children do not need to be members or have their own equipment to take part, as this can be provided.
Please contact the Golf Team for further details by email proshop@stokepark.com or call the Pro Shop on 01753 717184.

The Junior Section at Stoke Park is going from strength to strength with all age group categories representing the Club at junior, first team and county level and as more juniors arrive we have a tremendous opportunity to build on our teams of the future.
Junior Captain 2013
We are pleased to announce that Aaron Millar will be taking over the role of Captain from the 1st January, assisted by John Gough as the Junior Vice Captain. Both Aaron and John have played a big part of Stoke Park’s junior golf section and we wish them the very best of luck.
Junior Chiltern League
Stoke Park re-joined the Chiltern League in 2010; the league consisting of nine clubs inclusive of Stoke Park sees eight matches played throughout the season against teams such as Beaconsfield, Ellesborough and Harleyford in a 6 a-side match play format, home and away, alternating each year.
The match dates are kept to school holidays and weekends. Any junior member can sign up for these matches providing their handicap is below 28. Teams are chosen at least a week before each match in which a confirmation email will be sent to juniors and their parents with further information by the Organiser.
As team places are limited, unfortunately not everyone will make the squad, however reserves will be chosen. Transport to and from the Clubs can also be arranged where required. After each match a meal is arranged for the players, courtesy of the Clubs.
Chiltern League Scratch Knock Out
This is a 3 man team Scratch League for the lower handicapped junior golfers. This will be a knock out format played from April – September. Further information will be posted on the Intelligent Golf website at the start of the year.
Team Kit
If you are chosen to represent the Club in any team match, Stoke Park will provide you with a complimentary Lyle & Scott pale pink t-shirt and navy blue merino wool jumper. Navy trousers should be worn with the team kit.

Handicap Information: Obtaining a Handicap
For those who do not have a recognised handicap, you must be deemed proficient by one of the Club's Professionals. Until a handicap is obtained, you will not be able to tee off before 12:30pm at weekends.
Thereafter, in order to maintain a handicap you will be required to submit three cards of 18 holes from Stoke Park only. These cards will need to be signed by you and your playing partner, who does not have to be a member of the Club, nor do they have to have a handicap. The signed cards should be handed into a member of staff in the Golf Office situated in the Pro Shop.
Upon joining the Club, new Members may transfer their handicap from their previous Club, so long as it is within the UK. Those with overseas handicaps have to go through the process listed above.
