Originally the private home of the Penn family (founders of Pennsylvania), this Grade I Palladian Mansion was designed by the architect to King George III, James Wyatt, and completed in 1795. For more information about the estate's history, please click here.
Within the 50,000 square foot building are the Mansions 21 traditional bedrooms, main administration offices, golf changing rooms, Pro Shop, Humphry's fine dining restaurant, President's Bar, Orangery, Fountain Room, Wyatt Room, Ballroom, Penn Bar, Buckingham Room, Repton Room, Chalfont Room, Chapel, and Polo Lounge.
We have four electric car charging points. These operate on a trickle charge and are provided free of charge for members and hotel guests to use.
Completed in 2002, the Pavilion comprises of a state of the art gymnasium, two studios, three indoor carpet, four floodlit artificial clay, six grass tennis courts. An indoor swimming pool, Stoke Park Spa, steam rooms, changing rooms, San Marco restaurant, and supervised crèche and under eights' playroom. All hotel guests have access to these facilities.
In 2008, 28 new luxury contemporary bedrooms were launched along with the Garden lounge which is situated on the first floor of the Pavilion. It has exquisite views of the gardens and the grass tennis courts with an airy and contemporary atmosphere, and caters for breakfast for the residents staying in the Pavilion.
