Tim Harris

Head Assistant Professional & Retail Manager

Tim joined Stoke Park in March 2000 and completed his PGA Degree Programme in 2005 with a Top 5 finish in the prestigious Assistant of the Year Awards, becoming Head Assistant Professional shortly after.

Since then, Tim helped progress the successful Junior Academy and then became the Pro Shop Retail Manager where he has developed our stylish new lifestyle collection.

Tim and the Golf Team are focusing on providing a five star experience in club fitting and bringing the golf industry's hot retail products to Stoke Park's Pro Shop.

Chris Murtagh

Chris started playing Golf at the age of 10 when he was invited to join the Wentworth Scholarship Foundation, by the age of 15 he was already a Scratch Golfer and competing at National Level.

He turned Professional in 2005 after completing a BSc Sports Science Degree at Loughborough University. He competed successfully as a Professional on both the Europro and Alps Tour as well as the European Challenge Tour between 2005 and 2009.

In 2009 he started the PGA Foundation Degree and graduated in 2012 with a 3rd Place finish in the PGA Trainee of the Year Awards.

Since then he has been Coaching Golfers of all abilities and currently works with a number of Elite Amateurs and Professionals. He strongly believes that a Player will only improve their Performance when they truly understand their own game from Ball Flight right through to On Course Strategy.

Tom Reid

Tom started playing golf at the age of 12 and became a scratch golfer by the age of 17 winning at county and national level, he then turned professional in 2009, competing on the Euro Pro, Sunshine and Challenge Tour.

In 2011 he started his career as a PGA Professional at The Wentworth Club and in 2013 he became the clubs first Junior Academy Manager setting up a teaching programme for 3-12 year olds. In 2016 he was accredited with a Top 50 U.S Kids coach award, only the second person in Europe to have achieved this accolade.

Tom is a Trackman level two instructor, a TPI level one coach and has just begun a certification with David Leadbetter after two weeks of training in Leadbetter HQ, Florida. Tom enjoys coaching players of all levels and still loves to play and compete.

James Hoar

James joined Stoke Park in 2011, during this time he’s proved to be a capable player having won twice at a regional level.

He currently oversees the Junior Programme in the form of Young Masters Golf and is also involved in the popular combined golf and tennis camps.

James is a skilled coach for all levels of player and has a lot of enthusiasm for helping others improve with a friendly and uncomplicated method of coaching.

David Novell

PGA AA Qualified Teaching Professional

Dave has spent his entire Professional career at Stoke Park since joining in 2003 and has been fully qualified for 11 Years. Dave started playing at the age of 12 and was playing Scratch Golf by the age of 15.

Having played at a high-level Dave has over 25 years of Golfing experience and believes that the key to golfing success is about having sound fundamentals, keeping things simple and learning through experience. Equipment plays an important part of the game and Dave is a qualified Callaway and Ping Custom Fit advisor and is a Level 1 Certified Trackman Coach.

Away from coaching Dave plays an important role in Golf Operations. With nearly 20 years of Customer Service and Retail experience Dave adds his knowledge to the 5 Star Brand, looking after the Corporate Golf Event merchandise and helping provide the ultimate golfing experience in the Professional Shop.

Tom Habgood

Assistant PGA Professional

Tom moved back from southern Spain in 2014 after living there for 12 years. He started playing golf at the age of 13 in the lovely sunny climate after fancying a change from playing tennis up to that point.

He joined the team at Stoke park in April 2014 and immediately turned professional and started the PGA coaching degree through the University of Birmingham.

Tom started his coaching whilst in Spain at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and began with junior and adult group classes. He has continued to enjoy coaching in the group environment and currently runs the weekend adult group programmes to encourage new golfers into the game as well as delivering one to one private lessons.

Adam Lewis MSc

PGA Teaching Professional

Adam returned to Stoke Park in April 2017, previously he had been a junior between the ages of 10-17.

In 2009 he started his PGA training at Sandy Lodge and graduated from the course in 2012. After this Adam studied for a master degree in strength and conditioning and graduated with a merit and a published journal article.

Adam enjoys coaching students of all levels and uses his extensive knowledge of the body to help get the most out of their games. He also has a key role in our scholarship program using his strength and conditioning knowledge to help strengthen and reduce injuries in our budding young stars.
