Humphry's Fine Dining Restaurant
Humphry's restaurant - with its glorious floor-to-ceiling windows and great vases of lilies and orchids - must be seen to be believed, but the biggest surprise is the food. A classic tournedos of beef and a cannon of lamb were two of the best dishes we've eaten in the past 12 months.
Contrasting with the estate's rich history is Head Chef Chris Wheeler’s innovative Modern British cuisine. Chris has been at Stoke Park for seventeen years and in that time he has made our restaurant into “an experience you want to relive again and again” (At Home with Marco Pierre White) while winning 3 AA Rosettes. At Stoke Park we are enormously proud of our history, which stretches back for 1000 years, and we felt the name of our fine dining restaurant was an ideal way to honour that. Humphry’s restaurant takes its name from Humphry Repton, who designed the bridge it overlooks in 1805.
